Can I get a transparent video?
Yes, as WebM (VP9 with an alpha channel). Note that not every player or video editor shows WebM transparency — for those, composite a background instead.

How to use the Green Screen Video Editor
- Drop a green-screen video (MP4, WebM, MOV) or photo. Nothing is uploaded.
- The key colour is detected from the edges; click the green area in the preview to fine-tune it, then adjust similarity, edge softness and spill removal.
- Choose a transparent, solid-colour or image background and watch the live preview.
- Export: a transparent PNG for photos, or a transparent/composited WebM or MP4 for video.

Frequently asked questions
It also works without a green screen?
Any reasonably solid, evenly lit background colour works: pick it with the colour picker. Even lighting and a colour far from your subject's clothing and skin give the cleanest edges.
Why is the edge green or jagged?
Raise spill removal to kill the green fringe, and increase edge softness for a smoother edge. If parts of the subject vanish, lower similarity; if the background shows through, raise it.
Does it keep the sound?
Yes, unless you turn off “Keep audio”. The audio is re-encoded to match the output format (Opus for WebM, AAC for MP4).
