Is my text uploaded or saved?
Nothing is uploaded. A draft is kept only in this browser so you don't lose it on reload; turn off “Save draft in this browser” to stop that.
How is reading time calculated?
Words divided by 238 words per minute, the average silent reading speed of adults. Speaking time uses 150 words per minute.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with languages other than English?
Yes. Words and sentences are split with your browser's Unicode-aware segmenter, which handles accents and most scripts. The keyword stopword list is English only.
Why do characters on X differ slightly?
X counts every link as 23 characters and some symbols as two, so treat the X bar as a close estimate.
